Received your package and discovered our thank you note? Don't throw it out, plant it and watch some gorgeous wildflowers grow. The paper is made from post-cosumer materials mixed with wildflower seeds. If you treat it well, you will discover some of the following species:
Bird's Eye, Clarkia, Catchfly, Snapdragon, Sweet Alyssum (Annual)
Black Eyed Susan, English Daisy (Perennial)
The flowers can be grown indoors near a bright window or outdoors. If you want to share your wildflowers with bees, butterflies and other critters, wait for the spring to plant them outside. The seeds can stay dormant, simply store the paper in a cool dry place until it's time to plant it.
To grow, follow these four easy steps:
- Place your seed paper on soil that is slightly compressed.
- Add 3 mm (1/8 in) of soil on top of the paper.
- Water generously.
- Keep moist and in a sunny spot.
You should see sprouts within 7-10 days!
After the seeds in the paper have germinated and grown into plants, the paper will biodegrade. Leaving nothing behind but beautiful flowers that will help support the bee populations.
